Mary Virginia Staggs,age 75 of Manassas, VA died on Friday, October 13, 2017 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

Mary was born on September 15, 1942 to Robert Lee Varner, SR and Dorothy Woodhouse Varner.

She was a member of the Manassas Baptist Church Choir and Manassas Chorale.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Wilkerson Staggs, JR. and is survived by her brother Robert L. Varner, JR and his wife Becky; a niece Amy Smith and husband Peter; a nephew Robert L. Varner, III and wife Elizabeth and their children Zachary and Adam Smith and Charlotte, Owen and Emily Varner.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center St. Manassas, VA on Tuesday, October 17,2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Manassas Baptist Church, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Interment Stonewall Memory Gardens.
