Jeremy Matthew Hicks, age 38, son of Kenneth W. Hicks and Barbara (Kubinec) Hicks of Manassas, VA, died suddenly at home on September 4, 2017. He was pre deceased by his grandparents Paul and Ora Hicks of Meyersdale, PA and George Kubinec of Greensburg, PA. Survivors include his parents, sister Kimberly, brother Joshua, sister-in-law Scarlet and nieces Addison and Avery of Suwanee, GA; grandmother Eugenia Kubinec of Greensburg, and aunts and uncles Carol and Raymond Showman of Meyersdale, PA and Janet and Ernest Sutton of Murrysville, PA and many cousins. Jeremy graduated from Osborn Park High School, attended George Mason University and Strayer University, was formerly employed at Ashland Elementary School and Woodbridge High School, and enjoyed his current position with Virginia Water Conditioning Corporation. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, compassion toward animals, love of video gaming, and phone calls that always ended "I love you." Viewing will be on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6-7 P.M. at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA. Services will be held immediately after viewing at 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to a Humane Society or PWC animal shelter.
