Michael “Mike” Allen Tripp, 61 of Dacula, Georgia (formerly Manassas, Virginia) passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
Mike is survived by his wife Lori, sons Mike (Susan) Tripp, Jr. and Dayle (Melanie) Dawson, daughters Kim (Sean) Tripp and Heather (Brad) Brown, parents Mike and Drema Yates, brother Paul Tripp, sister Terri (David) Jones, his loving grandchildren Brittney, Amber, Destinee, Brady, Chase, Chrissy, Cody, Nikki, Michael, Lauren, Cash and Logan and his loving nieces and nephews along with many other extended family members and friends. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather (“Guy”) and friend to all.
Mike loved the outdoors – hunting, fishing, golf and softball were his favorite past times. He worked as a fishing guide on Lake Lanier in Georgia for more than ten years until he was forced to stop due to his illness. Prior to that Mike was a General Contractor and owned MAT Construction with his son Mike, Jr.
Funeral services for Mike will be a Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, Virginia (9609 Center Street Manassas, Virginia 20110) on Sunday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. Mike will be laid to rest at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
