Glenester Scott

Glenester Scott, born to Jewelester and Focious Scott on November 5, 1967 in Illinois passed away in Woodbridge, VA on March 20, 2017. A loving mother to her surviving daughters Antoinett Scott and Aquanissia Scott she was the best grandmother to Chance who survives her and Chastity who passed before her. She leaves behind to grieve her sisters Kimberly Scott, Kanedra Scott, Sandra Williams and her husband Lee and her brothers Patrick Scott and Dewayne Scott and his wife Valerie.
Glenester loved her grandkids more than anything. They were her world. Her nieces and nephews considered her their grandmother also. She made each and every one of them feel special. She last worked at Children of America taking care of children, something she loved doing. Prior to that was a long time employee of Fairfax Connector Bus where she was a bus operator.
She loved flowers and plants and had many that she lovingly took care of. She enjoyed watching them grow. When you came in the house you could tell two things, Glenester was cooking and music was playing! Both were good signs that she was happy. She loved to cook and music made her happy!
Her family had this to say about her:
From her daughter Aquanissia: “My mom lived her life for her girls, sacrificing so we could have better. She raised us to respect ourselves and well as others. To be independent Queens. Her love was like no other. May she rest in peace. Her love is never going to be forgotten”
From her sister Sandra: “My love for Glen was from the first time we spoke on the phone. I am very proud and blessed to have gotten to know my sisters and brothers. My Sissy you may be absent from my sight but you will always live in my thoughts and in my heart.”
From her sister Nedra: “My dearest sister, ooh how I’m gonna miss your strength, your warmth, your love, your guidance and wisdom. You held my hand through many endeavors and watched me grow. Your love for me was beyond a sister’s love. I can never repay you for all you’ve done. I will celebrate your life legacy and hold every memory in my heart. Sad you left me so soon. One day all will rejoice in your peace but today my heart will sing a new tune of heartbreak, sadness and sorrow. I love you my dearest sister.”
From her brother Dewayne: “Glen, words can’t express the love I have for you. You were the first friend in my life. The first person I played with. You’re my sister in life and after you will always be in my heart. Love you!”
From her sister Kimberly: “I’m trying to write something to express my feelings into words. We have shared so many beautiful moments in our life together. She was there for my first born and I was there for her when she gave birth to two beautiful daughters. To know that when my sister transitioned to her next journey in life, I was so very fortunate to be able to say that she is no longer in pain. She is now able to rejoice because she has been made whole again. I love you my beautiful boobie!”
From her brother Patrick: “My beautiful unique sister always the protector, she had many faces but she always kept it real. She has a sense of humor like no other. She had fun, unfortunately not long enough. She is in a better place, no more suffering. I love you!
From her nephew Shaquille: “More than an auntie, more than a mother, Glenester was a strong, caring woman who took care of everyone she knew. I never knew my grandparents but as I grew up I always considered Glen as my grandmother. I’m glad I came back to Virginia when I did. I’m glad that I was able to spend time with her before she went home. Gone but never forgotten. Love you always old spice!
There will be a visitation from 12-2PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home located at 13318 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge, VA followed by a Celebration of Life Services at 2PM.
