PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — One man is dead after being stabbed at a shopping center near Manassas.

The suspect in this case continues to elude police.

From police:

Homicide Investigation – On November 24 at 8:20PM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Stream Walk Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a reported stabbing. When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. First responding officers attempted first aid on the victim who was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the incident possibly stemmed from an altercation between the victim and a known male behind a business in the above area. The suspect was not immediately located and remains at large. The victim was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. This incident does not appear to be random. The identity of the victim will be released once confirmed and their next-of-kin have been notified. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 21st homicide of 2016*.
