Attempted Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On November 15, the accused, identified as Lee O’Neal DICKERSON, who was wanted in connection to a shooting which occurred at an apartment located in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln in Woodbridge on October 23, was arrested. The accused turned himself police without incident.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

The shooting occrred after the suspect was involved in an argument with the 35-year-old victim, police stated.

Attempted Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On October 23 at 7:45PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located the suspect, identified as a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, inside the apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The investigation revealed that this individual was involved in a verbal argument with the victim, identified as a 35-year-old man of Florida. After the argument, the victim attempted to leave the apartment and was followed by the suspect. The victim retrieved a wooden board to defend himself, at which point, the suspect went to the bedroom and retrieved a handgun which he then shot towards the victim. The victim was not struck and a struggle ensued. During the altercation, the handgun discharged striking the suspect in the upper body. The suspect was flown to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive. All parties remained on scene and were questioned. Charges are pending. The investigation continues.
