Man who dropped off 16-year-old at police station faces neglect charge

From Prince William police: 

Felony Child Neglect *ARREST – On September 26, the suspect allegedly involved in a child neglect case which was reported to have occurred on August 12 was arrested without incident in Arundel County, Maryland. The accused was extradited back to Virginia on September 29.

Marc Duane WILLIAMS, 44, of the 12000 block of Kemps Landing Cir in Manassas

Charged with child neglect

Court Date: Pending | Bond: Released on a $2,500 unsecured bond

Felony Child Neglect [Previously Released] – On August 12 at 11:33PM, officers responded to the Western District Station in Manassas to investigate a child neglect which occurred earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16-year-old male juvenile, and the accused, identified as a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation at a nearby hotel. Following the encounter, the accused drove the victim to the Western District Station where he dropped him off then left without making contact with any officers. Another family member later responded to take custody of the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Marc Duane WILLIAMS.
