See the Baby Contest at the Prince William County Fair

Parents brought their daughters and sons for the Baby Contest at the Prince William County Fair.

The contest for girls 9 to 18-months old was held at 3 p.m. and the contest for boys 9 to 18-months old was held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 13.

Braelie, an 11-month-old from Manassas, won the girl’s competition. Her father, William Bacon, said he is proud of her.

“It is great to come out and support the fair and to come out and show everyone how beautiful she is. She makes me proud,” said Bacon.

Prince William County Sheriff Glen Hill was the announcer for the Baby Contests. A panel of judges included two women from Maryland and another from Arlington.

Prince William County Fair Administrator Diane Burke said Baby Contest judges must live outside Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park, and judge children on their personalities and cuteness.

A girl’s and boy’s contest for babies 19 to 36-months-old is scheduled for 3 and 4 p.m., respectively, on Sunday. August 14, 2016.
