2 taken to hospital after crash at Sudley Rd. / I-66

A Toyota Tundra collided with a Jeep SUV knocking the Jeep into and over a guardrail into a retaining pond.

Police, fire and rescue crews were called to the crash scene about 3 p.m., at the intersection of Sudley Road and Interstate 66 near Manassas. Crash investigators said the Jeep was traveling north on Sudley Road when the driver of the Toyota tried to make a left turn onto the eastbound ramp for I-66.

The collision forced the Jeep into and over a guardrail. The vehicle landed in an empty storm water retention pond. The occupants of the Jeep and Toyota were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
