A garage burned in Stafford just after 6 p.m. Thursday.Â
States a Stafford fire and rescue press release:Â
On Thursday March 10, 2016 at 18:14:35 hours, Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a reported structure fire in the area of Courthouse Rd and Hospital Center Parkway. During the response units were advised the correct location was 12 Stafford  Avenue.
The Operations Deputy and Engine 2 arrived on the scene at 18:19:31 hours with fire  showing from a 24×24 detached garage. Personnel deployed hose lines to the structure. As crews  advanced into the structure the roof collapsed injuring a firefighter. The firefighter was transported  to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
The cause of the fire in under investigation and damage estimates are not available at this time. Fire and Rescue units from the following station’s responded to the incident Stafford, Aquia, Garrisonville, Falmouth, Berea, Mountain View, Quantico Fire and the Fire Marshal
