Prince William County Police Officer Jessie Hempen is out of the hospital.

Hempen, 31, with eight years on the force, was shot Feb. 27, 2016 while responding to a domestic call in Dale City. Also shot and killed was 28-year-old rookie Officer Ashley Guindon, who was working the first hour of her shift. She was burred this week in Massachusetts, and was honored at a ceremony in Woodbridge.
A third Prince William officer, David McKeown, 33, with 12 years on the force, remains in recovery.
