Intoxicated man charged after fleeing from police

A Woodbridge man is charged with burglary, eluding police, driving under the influence, and unreasonable refusal. 

He is accused of taking an acquaintances vehicle without her permission while intoxicated and fleeing from the police.

Residential Burglary – On February 27 at 4:01PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15600 block of John Diskin Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance. The victim reported that the accused had since left the residence in her vehicle without her permission. A short time later, an officer located the vehicle being driven in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Featherstone Rd. When the officer attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated and fled the area but was later found unoccupied. When officers returned to the residence, the front door was found damaged and the accused was located inside. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. Upon further investigation, the officer determined that the accused was intoxicated. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Sharn Liner MACK, 43, of 4865 Langer Ln in Woodbridge

Charged with burglary, eluding police, driving under the influence, and unreasonable refusal
