Felony Child Neglect – On February 12 at 5:58AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a child neglect call. When officers arrived at the home, they observed and made contact with a child, later identified as a 6 year old boy, through a closed bedroom window. The investigation revealed that two other children, identified as a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old girl, were also inside the residence and that no adult was present. While officers were still at the residence, the accused, the children’s mother, returned to the home around 7:10AM. The children were no injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The children were released to the custody of a family friend.Arrested on February 12:
