Another convenience store in Stafford County was robbed overnight.
This time it happened along Route 17 in south Stafford, where a man walked in to a 7-Eleven at 5:22 a.m. today, displayed what the clerk thought to be a gun, and demanded cash.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports an armed robbery at the 7-11 located at 25 Solomon Drive off of Warrenton Rd (Rt.17). The robbery occurred this morning, Thursday, January 21, 2016 at approximately 5:22 am.
The suspect entered the 7-11, produced what appeared to be a gun wrapped in a black bag and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, between 5’9” and 5’11” tall. The suspect was wearing dark pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Stafford Detectives are working to determine if this subject is related to other robberies that have occurred along the Rt. 17 corridor in recent weeks.

A Shell gas station on Route 17 was also robbed on January 4.
