A Woodbridge man faces charges sexual battery charges.
Investigators say the victim told her mother she was sexually assaulted while the accused stayed the night at the family’s home.
The investigation dates back to October.

On November 15, 2015 Stafford authorities received a report that an 11-year-old female Stafford resident had been sexually assaulted by 35 year old David Alan Schwartz.
Schwartz was a friend of the 11-year-old victim’s family. Detective Jason Dembowski initiated an investigation which revealed that Schwartz had been at the victim’s home in Stafford for a bon fire on the night of October 30, 2015. Schwartz stayed the night at the victim’s home.
At some point during the night Schwartz sexually assaulted the 11-year-old victim. The 11-year-old victim told her mother about the sexual assault a few weeks later after she learned that she and her family would be attending a party in which Schwartz would be present. The victim’s mother immediately contacted authorities.
Schwartz is currently incarcerated in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of David Alan Schwartz, age 35, of 5375 Duke St Alexandria, VA 22304. Schwartz has been indicted on 1 count of Object Sexual Penetration by Force and 1 count of Aggravated Sexual Battery.
