Nationwide, the third Friday in September is reserved to honor prisoners of war and those missing in action in our nation’s wars going back to World War I.
VFW Post 7916 in Occoquan Virginia will conduct a memorial ceremony to remember our nation’s POW/MIAs on Friday September 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mamie Davis Park, in Occoquan, Virginia.
VFW Post 7916 Commander, Chuck Wilson, Colonel USAF, Ret, will preside. This short and solemn ceremony features cadets from the C.D. Hylton High School Drill Team who will perform the “POW MIA Table of Honor Ceremony.”
