Prince William police responded to an attempted strong armed robbery on Coverstone Drive in Manassas on July 21.
According to Prince William police, the victim – a 29-year old Manassas woman – told officers that after she parked her vehicle, she was approached by an unknown individual.
The individual tried to get into her car, and demanded money and property from the victim before fleeing on foot, stated Prince William police.
Nothing was taken and no one was injured.
Prince William police were able to identify the suspect as a 14-year old male juvenile from Manassas who matched the victim’s description.
The juvenile is being charged with attempted robbery and is being held at a juvenile detention facility, stated Prince William police.
