Metropolitan Aviation names Steve Betts director of maintenance

The largest private jet management and charter company based in the mid-Atlantic today announced the appointment of Steve Betts as Director of Maintenance.

Betts brings nearly 40 years of professional maintenance and avionics experience to Metropolitan Aviation’s growing fleet of business jet aircraft.

Previously, he was Director of Maintenance at Capital Aviation and spent seven years as Quality Assurance Manager/Maintenance Operations Manager at FlightWorks Inc. Betts also worked numerous years as a Senior Avionics Technician at Gannett Co. as well as Merck & Co.

A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Betts has completed numerous Flight Safety Courses for the Gulfstream, Falcon, Sikorsky, Hawker and Beech King Air aircraft models, as well as a number of avionics safety courses for the Honeywell and Rockwell-Collins product lines. He also holds an FCC license with Radar Endorsement and Inspection Authorization.
