More than 30 Van Metre Companies employees will go back to elementary school this month to prepare and deliver more than 1300 books to students and classrooms. On Wednesday, June 17th, volunteers will give back in the community where they live and work by packaging books funded by the Van Metre Companies Foundation for students to take home as well as prepare classroom sets for thousands of students to use in the coming years. During each classroom delivery, volunteers will read stories to students and discuss volunteering and community service.
During a special kick-off presentation, Van Metre will also join The Heart of America Foundation in honoring three exemplary students who have demonstrated the values of service within the Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary School community.
The Van Metre Companies is dedicated to improving the lives of people in the communities where Van Metre carries on its business. This is the first year Van Metre Companies and Heart of America have partnered with Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary School.
