After investigating, Manassas City police were able to identify the driver that struck a police vehicle this morning on Hastings Drive as 29-year old Dumfries woman Cindy Rathbun.
Rathbun was charged with reckless driving.

At 10:25 a.m. a Manassas City Police vehicle was hit in the left lane of Hastings Drive, going westbound, when a driver attempted to make a U-turn from the right lane.
According to Manassas City police, the officer that was in the vehicle is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver that struck the officer currently has charges pending.
While the incident is investigated, Hastings Drive between Dumfries Road (Rt. 234) and Hendley Road is closed, said Manassas City police.
