On May 14, Prince William police responded to a call at a home on Silvia Loop in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary.
According to Prince William police, the homeowner said that at 9:30 a.m. that morning, an individual tried to enter the home through the back patio door.
Officers found during their investigation that the homeowner was on the second level of the home, and had heard noise coming from the back yard, said Prince William police.
When the homeowner went to investigate the noise during the incident, they witnessed the individual standing on the patio with a rock in their hand. When the homeowner yelled at the individual, they fled the scene on foot, said Prince William police.
There was no entry made, and no missing property.
The suspect is being described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, 6’0” and 200 pounds with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a khaki-colored bucket hat, a black short-sleeved shirt and light blue pants, according to Prince William police.
