Potomac Radiation Oncology Center (PROC), a service of Inova and Sentara Healthcare, recently donated a Wine Picnic Basket to the Sentara Northern Virginia Cancer Support Group for the upcoming Relay for Life for Eastern Prince William County fundraiser.
Dr. Susan Boylan, along with members of the PROC staff, presented the basket to Lannie Milam, a member of the team and a cancer survivor who underwent treatment at the Center.
Sponsored by The American Cancer Society, The Relay for Life is an organized overnight community fundraising walk and the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer. Teams of people camp out around a track and members of each team take turns walking around the track. The event includes food, games and activities that build camaraderie and get the entire community involved. The Relay for Life for Eastern Prince William County is May 16th from noon to 2:00 a.m. at Garfield High School in Woodbridge.
