Police throughout the region are searching for a robber who has hit five stores since October.
The robbery spree began Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at a store on Route 50 in Chantilly. On Nov. 7, the robber hit a Radio Shack at 8454 Centreville Road.
A Shell gas station in Fairfax City was robbed Nov. 11, and another Shell in Fairfax City was robbed Dec. 3.
Finally in Manassas on Dec. 9, police said the same man went into an In & Out Mart at 8930 Ashton Avenue and demanded money from the clerk. The man displayed a handgun and then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man was last seen running toward the Bristoe Station neighborhood, according to police.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.
The suspect is Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a slight beard, thin build, wearing a black fishing hat, black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

Hit and Run with Injury
At approximately 7:20PM on December 20, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to the intersection of Sudley Rd and Digges Rd for a report of a hit and run that had just occurred. The 58-year-old male victim told officers that he and his grandson were attempting to cross the intersection when the driver of a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck made a right turn from westbound Digges Rd onto northbound Sudley Rd.
The vehicle struck the victim’s mobility scooter, damaging the wheel and throwing him off, causing him to fall onto the curb and strike his head on the grass. The suspect vehicle returned to the parking lot next to where the victim was left immobile on the ground, and two middle-aged Hispanic males exited the truck.
The suspects stayed for approximately twenty to thirty seconds, tried unsuccessfully to communicate with the victim in Spanish, and then returned to their vehicle. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading north on Sudley Rd towards Rolling Rd. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident. The victim’s grandson was unharmed. Damage to the scooter was estimated to be $400.00.
Vandalism
At approximately 4:30AM on December 21, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to the 9600 block of Liberia Ave for a report of a vandalism that had just occurred. The victims told officers that two windows on their home and all the windows on one of their vehicles were destroyed. The vehicle was parked on Liberia Ave down a ways from the residence at the time of the vandalism. Damages exceeded $3,000.00.
