Robbery suspect sees photo on Facebook, turns himself in

Police said a suspect in a robbery in Woodbridge turned himself into police after seeing his picture on the department’s Facebook page.

Strong Armed Robbery *ARREST – On December 5th, the suspect involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge on November 24th turned himself into police without incident after seeing his information posted on the police department’s Facebook page. 

Arrested on December 5th:

David Nissan HUERTA, 18, of no fixed address

Charged with robbery

Court date: January 26, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On November 24th at 1:22PM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 43 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he walking through the Prince William Plz when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect grabbed the victim’s cell phone from his hands and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. On December 2nd, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in this robbery. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
