WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On Nov. 11, police called to investigate a domestic assault incident involving an 8-year-old boy. The child told police that the woman, whom he knew, threw items at him inside of the home.

Unlawful Wounding – On November 11th at 1:38PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Hanson Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, an 8 year old boy of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, threw objects at him inside the home. During the altercation, one of those objects, described as a kitchen utensil, struck the victim in the head causing a laceration. Another family member arrived at the home and contacted police. Officers detained the accused without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
