“I Walk” supports five programsÂ
Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) and Image Church are partnering with the Potomac Nationals to host the 4th Annual I WALK for ACTS on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Pfitzner Stadium at 7 County Complex Ct. in Woodbridge.Â
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the 5K walk starts at 10 a.m. Registration is $20/individual or $50/family. Proceeds benefit ACTS, with last year’s event raising over $30,000 to support this organization’s vital work. To register for IWALK, visit iwalkforacts.com.
The mission of ACTS of Prince William County is to provide relief, foster hope and promote self-sufficiency for our Prince William area neighbors in crisis due to hunger, homelessness and interpersonal violence.
Last year, ACTS assisted more than 90,000 individuals by providing Client Support, Housing and Trauma Services.Â
By participating in IWALK, participants help support the following programs:
Client Support Services, which provide food and financial assistance, an employment training program, and a Thrift Store that distributes over $30,000 in vouchers so low income families can have a dignified shopping experience for household items and clothing.
Housing Program, which provides short-term housing to families and singles at an 18-bed shelter and 30-bed shelter. ACTS also has Sustainable Housing programs.
Helpline, the only suicide/crisis prevention/intervention hotline in the Greater Prince William Area, as well as an assurance call service for senior citizens.
Turning Points, the Greater Prince William Area’s only comprehensive domestic violence prevention and intervention program.
SAVASÂ (Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Service), the only sexual assault crisis center serving the Greater Prince William Area, which empowers survivors of sexual assault to heal and move forward in their lives.

Travel to French soil and join us for a night filled with two of the most beloved French traditions—no plane ticket required! ?
On January 25th, we invite you to experience the magic of Galette des Rois, a 700-year-old tradition celebrated across France throughout the entire month of January (and even beyond!). This sweet, almond-filled puff pastry topped with a golden crown isn’t just a treat—it’s a celebration! The lucky person who finds the fève (a porcelain charm hidden in one of the slices) becomes the King or Queen for the Day, and don’t worry—there will be plenty of royalty to go around! ??
But that’s not all! In France, Les Voeux (New Year’s wishes) continue throughout January, often accompanied by Champagne and good cheer. We’re bringing that festive spirit to you, with a lively evening packed with French food, wine, and music.
