DALE CITY, Va. - On Sept. 28, an 18-year-old woman told police that after an argument with a relative, she was struck, then knocked to the ground and choked by the suspect. According to the report, there were minor injuries and the suspect was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On September 28th at 7:49PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 4800 block of Kentbury Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on September 27th. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, assaulted her following a verbal altercation she had with another family member. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim and knocked her to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and began to choke her. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

In a unique and chilly demonstration, residents of Fredericksburg gathered Wednesday to protest a proposed data center development near the Rappahannock River by building snowmen.
