DALE CITY, Va. – On August 14, a 57-year-old man had minor injuries after being assaulted and choked by a male friend. The victim left the home and was able to call police who then arrested the male suspect.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 14th at 1:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Nationville Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 57 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside his residence when the accused, a known acquaintance, began assaulting him. During the encounter, the accused put his hands around the victim’s neck and began to choke him. The victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Officers arrived at the residence and detained the accused without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
