2 Charged, 4 Wanted in Manassas Homicide

MANASSAS, Va. –– The death of a 26-year-old man found stabbed to death in a dumpster appears to be gang related.

Two suspects are in custody and four more are wanted in connection to the death of Cesar Benjamin Contreras, of Manassas. Contreras’ body was found inside a dumpster in at the Colonial Village Apartments near Old Town Manassas about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigation indicates that this was not a random attack and that the suspects involved may be connected with a criminal street gang.  An intensive investigation by Manassas City Police, with the assistance of the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, led to the identification of the following suspects in connection with the homicide. 

Of the six suspects identified, two arrests have been made. 

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the remaining suspects. This remains an ongoing investigation.

Ludwi Ulises “Negro” Mena Romaro, 20, of 9799 Main Street Apartment 103, in Manassas is charged with murder and is being held under no bond. He was arrested August 18.

Jose Raphael Ramirez Lopez, 18, of 3520 Center Street NW, in Washington is charged with murder and is being held under no bond. He was arrested August, 20.
