MANASSAS, Va. –Â Late Sunday, a 52-year-old man was hospitalized after he was struck in the face by two teenage males at a Giant Food store. The suspects then fled on foot.

At approximately 11:23PM on July 27, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to Giant Food, located at 10100 Dumfries Rd, for a robbery. The victim, a 52-year-old male of Manassas, told officers that just moments before their arrival he was sitting outside of the grocery store when two black male suspects in their late teens approached him from behind and struck him several times in the face and head. No confrontation took place prior to the assault.Â
After the two suspects fled on foot towards the intersection of Wellington Rd and Hampton Rd, the victim noticed that his wallet containing the victim’s personal and financial cards was missing. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
