Jason Nathaniel Ayers, 37, of Warrenton, Virginia passed away Monday, July 1 2014.
He was born June 16, 1977 in Manassas, VA, the son of James and Pamela (Cornwell) Ayers. Jason was a 1995 graduate of Osbourn Park High School.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jennifer Layhue Ayers and their two sons, Ian Nathaniel Ayers and James Noah Ayers; his parents, James and Pamela Ayers of Manassas, VA; two sisters, Megan Ayers Langston, husband Allen Langston, daughters Emma Grace and Sofie of Norfolk, VA; and Lauren Ayers and husband Dana Plagmann of Arlington, VA; and grandparents, Betty Cornwell of Manassas, VA and Rodney and Virginia Ayers of Culpeper, VA; several Aunts and Uncles.
Jason was loved by many and always enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces. Gregarious in spirit and generous with his time, he made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. Jason loved spending time fishing at Lake Anna, diesel trucks and hanging out with his family and friends. Most of all he loved his two sons more than anything and enjoyed raising them.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 4, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia where funeral services will be 10am Saturday, July 5, 2014. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Jason’s children’s VA 529 college fund c/o BB & T Bank

Osbourn Park High School has received the Virginia School Breakfast Award from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) for its success in expanding breakfast access, maintaining nutritional integrity, and serving more scratch-cooked meals. The school is one of three recipients this year.
Cafeteria manager Nidia Bruno expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the team’s dedication to feeding students. Andrea Early, director of Food and Nutrition, noted that breakfast participation at Osbourn Park has increased by 30% and praised the cafeteria team for efficiently managing the expanded program. The school benefits from the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program, which provides free breakfast and lunch to all students.

Nothing Bundt Cakes has officially opened its doors just outside Manassas, bringing its signature, handcrafted bundt cakes to the community. The Prince William Chamber of Commerce celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new bakery at 9825 Liberia Avenue, Suite 101.
