DONALD WAYNE CHANDLER, age 71, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA.
He was born on April 7, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Noble Earl and Raven Alexandra (Thomas) Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a charter member of the local HOG Chapter and loved riding his hog. Donald loved his friends and family but above all else he enjoyed helping people.
Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Bonnie Alexander; one sister: Dana Wolfe and two brothers: Jack and Charlie Chandler.
Survivors include his loving wife Shirley Chandler; three children: Stephanie, Kirk and Jamie; two step children: Corinna Swartz and Dewayne McCarter; one sister: Judy Leonard; three brothers: Jim, Richard and Harry Chandler; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA where services will take place on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
