Don’t miss out on one of the largest displays of fireworks in Northern Virginia held annually in Historic Downtown Manassas. Celebrate America’s birthday with food, music and all out fun starting at 4pm. Let the kids enjoy the red, white and blue hayride or see who will be crowned the 2014 watermelon eating champion.

Watch the extraordinary performance by the Silent Drill Platoon as they perform alongside the U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps. Bayoneted rifles Discover Prince William County and Manassasare tossed in the air as each Marine moves in rhythmic step. This incredible presentation of national pride will be featured on the parade deck at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on July 17th, as part of their summer concert series.

Dine on an American favorite at one of our local joints such as Dixie Bones BBQ. Located in Woodbridge, you can smell the sweet ribs cooking once you drive up. Indulge on all made from scratch cornbread, BBQ, and fried catfish. Enjoy good southern sides such as coleslaw, mac & cheese and baked beans.  Don’t forget dessert from their delightfully sweet pecan pie, to the apple pie a la mode it’s all mouth-watering.

As we celebrate our great nation, honor the sacrifices that were made at the Manassas National Battlefield Park. See where America’s history was written so many years ago. Open to the public, seven days a week, this 5,000 acre national park offers activities, walking trails and scenic views for all ages.
