Benjamin Chisolm Charged in Sex Assault at Concert

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A woman from Colonial Beach said she fell asleep at a concert at Jiffy Lube Live and woke up to a man sexually assaulting her.

Here’s more in a statement from Prince William police:

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 22nd at 8:30PM, officers were working a concert assignment at Jiffy Lube Live located at 7800 Cellar Door Dr in Bristow (20136) when a patron approached police to report a sexual assault. The victim, a 49 year old woman of Colonial Beach VA, reported to police that she was attending the concert and fell asleep on the lawn area. When she woke, an unknown man was lying beside her and touching her inappropriately. The accused walked away from the victim and was eventually detained by police on an unrelated manner for being publicly intoxicated. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Benjamin CHISOLM, 19, of 3710 Bridsville Rd in Davidsonville, MD

Charged with aggravated sexual battery

Court date: July 17, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

The Zac Brown Band was the headlining artist on Sunday night when the sex assault was reported.

Chisolm is a student at the University of Maryland and plays the attack position for the university’s lacrosse team.
