Obituary for Betty Jean Blevins
Betty Jean Blevins, age 85, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on May 15, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Elbert Blevins. Loving mother of Brenda Knapp (Don), Bonnie Stiles (Terry), Elbert Lee Blevins, Jr. (Sheena), Philip Blevins, and David Blevins. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 11. Betty was predeceased by a granddaughter Karen Stiles and a sister Anna Virginia Pugh. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Posey Pugh. Betty served as a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Franconia Fire Department # 5. She was a proud supporter of the Franconia Museum, and attended Central Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the MOUNTCASTLE TURCH FUNERAL HOME, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 6 to 9 PM, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Pall Bearers for the service will be Mike Blevins, Carl Blevins, Glen Blevins, Donald Knapp, Dave Marteny, and Willie Moore. Interment will follow in Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Franconia Museum, 6121 Franconia Road, Franconia, Virginia 22310
