DALE CITY, Va. — A portion of Dale Boulevard is closed due to a gas leak tonight.
Police are redirecting traffic away from the of the four-lane road between Benita Fitzgerald Drive and Cherrydale Drive. The gas leak originated on nearby Barksdale Drive, according to a statement from Prince William police.
Gas crews have been called to fix the leak. There is no estimated time of repair, police said. Officials urged drivers to avoid the area.
The closure has also impacted local bus service. All of OmniRide’s Dale City buses are being routed along Benita Fitzgerald Drive to avoid the closure.
