Richard Charles Morrow

Richard Charles Morrow of Gainesville, Virginia passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 6, 2014 after a prolonged illness. He was 73 years old.

He was born on February 13, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Charles Ross Morrow and Lucille Morrow. He married Dolores Jean Morrow on July 26, 1965.

Mr. Morrow was a graduate of the Carnegie Melon School of Engineering and served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. He worked as an applications engineer for the Mobil Oil Corporation and later ExxonMobil. He had many interests outside of the workplace including boating, fishing, classic cars, upholstering, woodworking, leather working and many more.

He was married to Dolores for 48 years until his passing and had four children, Kris Gaitley of Haymarket, VA, Staci Childers of West Chester, PA, Richard Morrow, Jr. of Front Royal VA and Jason Morrow of Haymarket, Va. He was a loving grandpa to 5 grandchildren and is preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Lucille and sister Patrica.

The family will be receiving friends at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13th, 2014 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, VA 20155. Interment will immediately follow at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA.
