PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Someone crawled into a woman’s bed and sexually assaulted her. Now police are asking the public to beware of strangers in one Manassas-area neighborhood, just off Old Centreville Road.
Here’s more in an unedited police press release:
The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred on Prince Cole Ct located in the Manassas area of Prince William County.
On March 9th at 4:41AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 7500 block of Prince Cole Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a sexual assault. The victim, a 40 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that while she was sleeping, an unknown man got into her bed and sexually assaulted her. The victim initially thought the suspect was her husband but then realized the suspect was a stranger. The suspect appeared to have entered the home through an unsecured door. The suspect fled the area prior to officers arriving at the residence. No description of the suspect was provided to police due to the room being dark at the time of the offense. The investigation continues.
