STAFFORD, Va.– The Before ‘n’ After Café on Wapole Street in Stafford has expanded into the county’s newest housing community Embrey Mill.
The eatery has opened its doors at Embrey Mill’s new community center, Embrey House, and will provide a full menu of appetizers, club sandwiches, Panini sandwiches, as well as fried foods like French fries, and fried macaroni and cheese. This is the second location for Before ‘n’ After Café which opened its first location in the Shops at Amyclae three years ago.
“With all of the development coming to the Courthouse Road corridor, we wanted to open up this new restaurant so we had bookended locations in the corridor,” said owner Josh Grein.
Unlike his Amyclae location, café at Embrey House does not have a full liquor license. The café will serve food by the community center’s pool during the summer.
Before ‘n’ After at Embrey house is open now 7-days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hours will be extended at springtime.
“We’re having our soft opening so we can figure everything out and see how it’s going to run,” said Grein.
A total of 10 new employees were hired to run the new café.
The Embrey Mill community is more than 830 acres of land boasting some 1,800 homes. In addition to the café, there is a pool and fitness center and four community parks. A new county-funded swimming facility was recently approved to be built for community and general public use.
