Homeowner Chases Out 2 Intruders in Stafford County

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. -- A homeowner chased out two intruders this morning at his home near Curtis Park.

The intruders used a basemen door to break into the home on Suntee Drive in the Hartwood section of Stafford County just before 2 a.m. Thursday.

A Stafford sheriff’s deputy called to the scene spoke with the homeowner who said that he was lying in his bed when he heard a noise, then got up to investigate, and then saw two men running down the staircase inside his home back into the basement, said sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
