— From the school system: On Tuesday, January 7, 2014, all Prince William County Public Schools will be closed—code green for employees—due to predictions of dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills. SACC will not open. All scheduled activities are cancelled. These precautions will ensure the safety of all students, especially the thousands who walk to school.
Stafford County
— From the school division: Due to the expected severe cold weather, all Stafford County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Employees will be on Code 2. Liberal leave is in effect. Administrative offices will open at 10:00 A.M.
Manassas
–From the school system: All Manassas City Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 7th due to predictions of dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills – Code Gray for employees. All after-school activities are canceled.
Manassas Park
— From the school system: Manassas Park City Schools are closed tomorrow due to pending weather conditions. We want to ensure that all of our students, including bus riders and walkers, stay safe during the record low temperatures. 12-month employees should report at 10 a.m.
