DUMFRIES,Va. — Man wanted in connection with a robbery at Days Inn police report.

Armed Robbery –
On December 26th at 9:28PM, officers responded to the Days Inn located at 16925 Old Stage Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in one of the rooms.
The victim, a 21 year old woman of Colonial Beach VA, reported to police that she met up with an unknown man in one of the rooms at the above motel.
During the encounter, the man displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim. At that point, a struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect.
Following the altercation, the man fled the room on foot. Minor injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 22 & 27 years of age, 6’0”, 200lbs with a heavy build, medium complexion, short black hair, and a beard
Last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and tan shorts
