With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, several county and city government offices and schools will close. Here’s a handy list of closings scheduled over the next few days.
School closings
Prince William County Public Schools
Wednesday, Nov. 27 – half day for students
Nov. 28 & Nov. 29 — No school
Stafford County Public Schools
Nov. 27 – Nov. 29 – No school
Manassas Public Schools
Nov. 27 – Nov. 29 – No school
Manassas Park Public Schools
Nov. 27 – Nov. 29 – No school
Prince William County courts
Nov. 27 – Administrative day, no cases set
Nov. 28 & 29 – closed
Stafford County Government closings
Stafford offices, departments and facilities will be closed on Wednesday, November 27, Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2013, for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Circuit Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and General District Court in Stafford will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well as the Rappahannock Area Health District office.
Woodlands Pool will close at noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. It will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. Woodlands will resume normal operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30.
The Regional Landfill, 489 Eskimo Hill Road, Stafford, VA 22554, and the Belman Road Recycling Center, 1200 Belman Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, will be closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2013. It will be open normal working hours on Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Manassas City closings
Manassas City government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
American Disposal Services will not be collecting trash and recycling on Thursday, Nov. 28, (Thanksgiving). The regular Thursday collection will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 30. No other schedules will be affected.
Dumfries
Nov. 27 & 28 – Administrative offices closed
Haymarket
Town Offices closed noon Wednesday, Nov. 27 – Friday, Nov 29.
Occoquan
The Town Hall in Occoquan is closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.
Quantico
The town office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.
