WOODBRIDGE,Va.– Police say they are looking for a man wanted for strangulation and abduction.

On November 18th at 10:58AM, police responded to a residence located in the 16700 block of Chowning Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic incident.
The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.
During the encounter, the accused threw the victim to the floor and prevented her from leaving the residence. After a brief struggle the victim was able to break free.
Later in the day, the two were involved in another altercation. During this encounter, the accused began to choke the victim.
After the assault, the victim left the residence and contacted police. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.
