Driver Killed in Crash

MANASSAS, Va. – A man from West Virginia was killed in an early morning crash on Thursday.

Crash – Fatality – On October 3rd at 12:02AM, the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 8800 block of Brentsville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a single vehicle crash resulting in a fatality.

The investigation revealed that a male driver, and only occupant, of a 2003 Lincoln Aviator was traveling northbound on Brentsville Rd when the driver lost control, left the roadway, and struck multiple trees.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of collision and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. At this point in the investigation, speed and alcohol are believed to be factors contributing to this crash.

The driver of the 2003 Lincoln Aviator has been identified as a Zachary Adam KITCHEN, 27, of Charles Town, WV
