GAINESVILLE,Va. —Â One man was man arrested for stabbing one man in the chest and his friend in the arm and forehead, police say.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding –
On September 22nd at 1:13AM, police responded to investigate a double stabbing which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 7300 block of Old Carolina Rd in Gainesville (20155).
The victim, a 22 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated physically.
During the encounter, a friend of the victim’s, a 23 year old man of Manassas, joined in the fight. At that point, the accused displayed a knife and stabbed the victim’s friend to his chest and slashed the victim to his forehead and arm.
Following the assault, the accused fled the area. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused was located later that day and arrested without further incident.
