Northern Virginia based real estate title company Advanced Title & Settlement, LLC has announced today their local nonprofit benefactors for their Advance My Community Give Back program. With offices in Manassas, Fairfax, Towson, Md. and Cape Coral, Fla., corporate philanthropy plays an integral part in their corporate culture.Â
Advanced Title & Settlement  Co-Owner Heather Mergler stays involved in her community as a member of Prince William County Realtor Association (PWAR), Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), and serves as a Board of Director for the Prince William County/Manassas Boys & Girls Club.
Through November 4, Mergler’s firm will donate 30% of their sales commission generated during the campaign to charity.
“This is a interactive campaign where one vote can be the difference between thousands of dollars for your favorite charity,” said Mergler. Â
By engaging and educating the public, each charity will receive their share of the funds based on the percentage of total votes they receive by November 4. The voting website will be going live immediately at 7pm September 18th on the newly launched Real Estate Section of Potomac Local News.

Â “For our real estate colleagues we not only provide the high level service experience that gives you piece of mind, but we will be actively promoting these real estate affiliates to thousands of people each day by working with local media partners like Potomac Local News.”

Insidenova.com: A bipartisan coalition of Virginia lawmakers on Tuesday presented a series of bills aimed at addressing the rapid expansion of data centers, which have become a cornerstone of the stateâs economy but have raised concerns about energy use, environmental impact, and equitable cost distribution.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin highlighted the industryâs importance during his State of the Commonwealth address Monday, noting that âdata centers alone support 74,000 jobs, bring in $9.1 billion in Virginia GDP, and generate billions in local revenue.â He called for Virginia to remain âthe data center capital of the worldâ while ensuring state support for the industry.
However, lawmakers from both parties have emphasized the need for oversight to ensure the industryâs growth is managed responsibly.
The Center Square: Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin delivered the final State of the Commonwealth address of his term Monday after a delayed start to the 2025 General Assembly session, urging the state legislature to âkeep Virginia winningâ with bills it passes this year.
