The U.S. Navy reports via their Twitter feed that several injuries, including fatalities, following a shooting at Washington’s Navy Yard this morning.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Navy confirms “several” people were injured this morning at the Washington Navy Yard when three shots were fired at 8:20 a.m.
Police call melee an active shooter situation at the Naval Yard that employees 3,000 military and federal workers from around the region, including Prince William and Stafford counties.
The Navy is updating the situation on its Twitter page.
