STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A total of two Sally Beauty Supply stores and a Game Stop video game store have been robbed. Investigators in Stafford County say by the same man.
The latest robbery took place at a Sally Beauty Supply in south Stafford County on Thursday. The man walked into the store, pulled out a gun, and then took cash from two registers, police said.

In the Stafford County incident a man entered the Sally’s Beauty Supply store, pulled a handgun on the employees of the store and robbed them of the money from the store safe and two cash drawers. The man was last seen walking out of the store. Within an hour of the Stafford robbery the same suspect robbed a Payless Store in Spotsylvania County. The same individual is also a suspect in a robbery at a Sally’s Beauty Supply in Spotsylvania County on June 25, 2013.
Stafford County Detective Barry Surles has been working with detectives from multiple jurisdictions in Virginia and North Carolina in an effort to determine the identity of the suspect. Surles has been able to obtain a photograph of an individual who robbed a Game Stop Store in Raleigh, North Carolina. Detectives from the Raleigh, North Carolina Police Department provided the photograph. The individual in the picture is similar in appearance to the person who robbed the businesses in Stafford County and Spotsylvania County.
