The Woodbridge Music Club opens its 2013-14 musical season with the annual members’ concert at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 21. The performance begins at 7 p.m. and features sopranos Leslie Bennett and Debora Madsen with David Crookston, harpist, percussionist David Salisbury, violinist Michael Munayer and pianists Donna Baldwin, Patricia Parker, Grace Reid and June Shuffett.
The group will also honor Deborah Chappell, a long time member who recently passed away, with pianist Lana Bailey playing in tribute to her.
Refreshments will be served following the concert. Admission is free.
Members of the music club number over fifty active teachers, performers and composers and contribute their time and talents to Prince William County on a regular basis. Upcoming events include workshops, student recitals and in-home concerts given by the members.
